What is real luxury?
Bruce Boyer once revealed that primarily understanding real luxury means to understand quality and moreover, to have the time to enjoy it.
To define luxury is simple on the one hand but too far afield on the other hand. Generally speaking luxury is very great comfort, especially among beautiful and expensive surroundings. Sometimes it is derived from the idea of an object that is not necessary but which provides pleasure – pleasure which one does not often have the opportunity to enjoy.
Above all luxury reveals craftsmanship, uniqueness, attention to detail, quality materials and authenticity. Put simply, it is about selecting the very best the world has to offer, objects and experiences. For me, it embodies time, silence, austerity, modernity, awareness, appreciation, and passion.
